Day Nine - Munich

It was McDonald's again for breakfast. Seriously, if you're in this neck of the woods, try the fruit & yoghurt.

After that we walked. It's only just gone 7, we've been home for about an hour and I am dead on my feet! I'm SO exhausted!

We wandered around the city, looking at shoes for the brother and stuff like that... Nothing too interesting. Because it was a Saturday, the city was 3 or 4 times as busy as it was normally. I can't explain the way it was. You were pushing through crowds just to walk down the street. It's insanity!! And at 5pm on a Saturday night, when you've been walking all day and the place you were keen on for dinner is just as packed as the streets are all you want to do is go home. So we grabbed a cheesey bratwurst in a bun (deliciously bad) and caught the subway home. Ta-Dah. Day Nine finito.

Also of note, some of the men here are gorgeous, although it seems to fade quite quickly as I spied no remarkable older gentlemen. They have no shame in wearing a slicked comb over, but it's a lot more attractive than it sounds, nice jackets and tight jeans. Not as many head turns as Paris, but it's noteworthy.

There are a heck of a lot of blue eyed, brown haired guys (the girls might be the same but I wasn't looking at them). LOTS of blue eyes. I'm a bit of a sucker for the dark hair, light eyes combo.... heh. Ahem.

It was brought to mum's attention that curls are not quite so 'in' here. Mum got some odd looks in a bathroom and she did a double take of the women in there, and none of them had curly, or even wavy hair. They had straightened hair. *yawn* I like my curls. It also seems that blonde is in, and bottle blonde is in. I don't mind the bleached to a natural looking blonde, but they don't seem to groove on that look. It was all a little bit same-same on the women-front. Although, I'm sure my brother would beg to differ!

The last thing I wanted to mention, I repeated to myself over and over after I saw her so I wouldn't forget to post it. I saw a lady today, perfectly coiffed, black shoes, black stockings, long black coat, black (fur lined I think) hat, long peroxide blonde hair and RED lipstick. She was an older lady, not attractive, but that entire look was so striking, and not an easy on to pull off in the midle of the day I would have thought. Major kudos to her!!

Anyway, I'm going to go, we head to Verona tomorrow and I am, despite my exhaustion, very excited! I'm not sure how often I'll get to blog while in Italy, I'm almost positive it won't be once a day! Hopefully I'll still manage to keep you updated ;)

<3 to your mother.
